COMMUNITY PARTNERS

  • Hike Clerb is a decolonial BIWOC-led outdoor collective and 501c3 reimagining an equitable and inclusive outdoors, founded by cultural organizer, Evelynn Escobar in 2017 in Los Angeles, CA.

Mission: we equip Black, Indigenous, and other racialized women, TGNC people with the tools, resources, education, and experiences they need to collectively heal in nature.

  • Kids Of Immigrants is a multi-dimensional lifestyle brand that bridges diverse cultures and experiences.

At our core, we are storytellers that aim to authentically represent and empower our community through intentional product and powerful storytelling.

Cut from different fabrics but bound together by their shared experience as Kids Of Immigrants, Weleh Dennis, Liberian-American, and Daniel Buezo, Honduran-American, have manifested a brand with the mission to spread love and spark creativity. Through clothes they have cultivated a brand and community that truly embodies their core messages of support your friends and do the best with what you have.

  • No Us Without You is a LA a public charity created by Damian Díaz and Othón Nolasco, aimed at providing food relief to the most disenfranchised hospitality workers affected by the pandemic.

No Us Without You LA has transformed Va’La Hospitality’s Boyle Heights office into a food distribution center. Currently, over 40,000 lbs of food is distributed every month. Donations have enabled the two partners to provide pantry essentials and fresh produce to back-of-house staff such as dishwashers, line and prep cooks. Thus, they have kept alive the heart and soul of the restaurant and bar industry, who are often treated as dispensable.

  • WalkGood LA is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)3 wellness organization dedicated to providing equitable healing spaces for underrepresented communities. Recognizing the need for community healing after the racial strife suffered by Black & Brown bodies in 2020 as well as the desire to address so many people’s constant experience of feeling “othered," WalkGood began providing an inclusive space of healing through community yoga classes, meditations, hikes, run clubs, & other activations throughout LA & beyond. What began as a weekly peaceful protest in June 2020 has now become a multi-faceted, feel-good, healing community with hundreds of members in attendance weekly. WalkGood LA has been featured in the LA Times, Good Morning America, Ebony Magazine, and has recently opened The WalkGood Yard.
